A controlled calling workflow, not an open-ended dialer
Cleo helps approved teams turn a specific operational task into one bounded outbound call. A team supplies the destination, objective, context, constraints, success criteria, output shape, and duration limit. Cleo checks the purpose, runs the call through a private telephony boundary, and returns durable state plus a structured result for review.
Good first workflows
Appointment coordination
Request or change a customer's own appointment within explicit timing and action limits.
Business information
Collect public hours, availability, price, policy, or service details missing from a website.
Order and service follow-up
Ask for status on an existing order, repair, reservation, or service request.
Structured handoff
Return a disposition, summary, and schema-checked fields for a person or authorized system to review.
Controls built into the workflow
- Workspace-level production access and acceptable-use acceptance.
- Revocable project keys and project-scoped call ownership for integrations.
- Pre-call purpose screening that blocks or holds unsafe and ambiguous tasks.
- Destination, duration, rate, idempotency, and provider checks that remain outside the model prompt.
- Lifecycle states, explicit cancellation, and permanent deletion for terminal call records.
What a team must provide
Teams must have lawful authority and any required recipient consent, give Cleo accurate minimum-necessary context, honor opt-out and do-not-call requests, configure applicable calling windows and disclosures, protect credentials, and review results before consequential use. Cleo is not for emergency services, bulk or unsolicited outreach, deception, high-impact decisions, or attempts to collect unauthorized private data.
