The caller remains responsible
Cleo is designed for specific, one-to-one tasks a user is authorized to request. Before a workspace can place production calls, an authorized owner or administrator must accept the current policy. The user remains responsible for the call's purpose, destination, supplied facts, required consent, lawful calling hours, disclosures, and follow-up actions.

Appointments
Make or change the user's own appointment or reservation within stated preferences.
Public information
Ask a business for hours, availability, price, policy, or another non-private fact.
Existing transactions
Follow up on the user's own order, repair, reservation, or service request.
User-controlled outcomes
Return options or a result without exceeding the permissions and limits provided.
Prohibited purposes
Cleo must not be used to:
- commit or facilitate fraud, deception, impersonation, credential theft, or unauthorized access;
- threaten, harass, prank, repeatedly annoy, or evade a recipient's request not to be contacted;
- place spam, bulk outreach, or unsolicited marketing, fundraising, or political calls;
- contact or interfere with emergency services or public-safety systems;
- conceal AI use where disclosure is required or falsely claim to be a real person or authority;
- make or manipulate high-impact decisions in employment, housing, lending, insurance, health, legal services, or government benefits;
- obtain private or sensitive information without clear authorization; or
- bypass product, provider, destination, duration, rate, or safety restrictions.
How enforcement works
A proposed live call is evaluated before dialing. Clearly allowed calls receive a short-lived authorization bound to the exact call payload. A changed payload cannot reuse that authorization. Prohibited purposes are blocked; materially ambiguous purposes are held rather than treated as permission. Separate destination, rate, duration, workspace, and provider controls remain in force after screening.
Cleo Powered may suspend access, cancel a task, preserve limited security records, or cooperate with lawful requests when misuse is detected. Report suspected misuse to hello@cleopowered.com.
